Active ingredients
- Organic carrot extract – a standardised organic carrot extract in jojoba oil, rich in provitamin A, stabilised with rosemary oil. For its antioxidant and anti-wrinkle properties, it is commonly used as an active ingredient in cosmetic products to protect the skin from the sun. The concentrated organic carrot extract rich in carotenoids soothes the skin and protects it from ageing. The skin feels and looks brighter with a healthier glow.
- Biodine V – a 100% natural active ingredient consisting of various plant components (macadamia oil, ceramides, squalane, soy sterols). A special blend of plant components in Biodine V mimics both the composition and the liquid crystal structure of our skin. Together with skin cells, the hydrolipidic film of Biodine V forms a protective barrier which prevents epidermal water loss in the skin. Sensitive, dry or damaged skin has a partially damaged protective skin film. With its composition akin to the natural skin film, this active ingredient immediately repairs the damage. Immediate treatment and regeneration of the skin damaged by sunlight with a long-lasting effect.
- Tamanu oil – the oil comes from exotic Polynesia. It is derived from the seeds of the tropical evergreen Tamanu nut tree and contains a natural SPF factor. It has protective, regenerative, moisturising and anti-wrinkle effects. Tamanu oil and other parts of the Tamanu nut tree have been used for medicinal purposes across Asian, African and Pacific Island cultures for years.
- Chia seed extract– an oil obtained from chia seeds through fine extraction. Chia seeds are considered a superfood with the highest share of omega-3 fatty acids that are also beneficial for the skin. They contain antioxidants that protect skin cells, while the alpha-Linolenic acid has a positive effect against wrinkles, enlarged pores and reddened skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties have also been proven. The chia seed extract helps the skin’s protective barrier to retain moisture, making your skin smooth and supple.
Application
When used as a day serum, apply an appropriate amount to cleansed, moistened face, neck or décolleté, let it absorb and continue with your daily skincare routine. When used as a sunscreen, apply 5-8 drops before the planned exposure and repeat as needed during sunbathing, too, especially after swimming, sweating or towelling. Tip: Use Calming Skin Mist before application for a better effect.

UV filters
UV filters used:
Zinc Oxide – physical (mineral/inorganic) UV filter
Ethylhexyl Triazone – chemical (organic) UV filter
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine – hybrid UV filter
Zinc Oxide – we only use this UV filter in one of our products, Sun Drops SPF 50.
- This is a physical (mineral) UV filter containing zinc oxide microparticles.
- This ZnO mineral UV filter is recognised worldwide as safe, with low irritation and sensitisation properties, and is also suitable for babies and sensitive skin.
- The zinc contained in the filter is manufactured synthetically but is classified as “nature identical”.
- Mineral inorganic UV filters protect against UV radiation in two ways: through absorption and diffusion. Regular zinc-based sunscreen products diffuse and reflect light back to the skin surface covered by the sunscreen, which can cause a white film to form on the skin. The UV filter we use has been specially formulated to reduce surface diffusion and reflection, thus making the skin more transparent without compromising its protection against the sun.
- Another advantage is its photostability: it does not break down or oxidise and retains its SPF value for as long as its particles remain on the skin.
- The most recent research has shown that zinc oxide is also effective against blue light.
- A combination of both physical and chemical UV filters (organic and inorganic) is required to achieve this high level of protection against UV radiation.
Ethylhexyl Triazone
- This is a chemical (organic) UV filter.
- Its high absorption capacity makes it extremely effective even at low concentrations.
- It has the greatest photostability of all UVB filters.
- Its affinity with the keratin in the skin makes cosmetic products water resistant, a property that is further enhanced by its complete insolubility in water.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine
- This is a hybrid UV filter, one of the latest UV filters used in the cosmetics industry.
- This photostable, highly effective, broad-spectrum UV filter (protects against both UVA and UVB light) provides effective skin protection even at low concentrations.
- Although having the structure of a chemical UV filter, it acts as a physical UV filter and reflects UV radiation.
- It meets high safety requirements and is oil soluble and highly water resistant.
- Its excellent photostability provides long-lasting protection.
- It also works as a stabiliser for other UV filters.
