• Green tea – also commonly known as tea plant (Camellia sinensis) is a perennial shrub, usually five to eight meters high. It has flowers of various colours, from white and pink, through to red and yellow. Originally from Asia, it is also extremely popular in France and the European part of the Mediterranean. It is rich in phenols, group A, B and E vitamins, and mineral substances. It is unique for its antioxidant properties, contributes to the stimulation of skin cell restoration, facilitates healing and is good against skin infections.
• Olive oil – the yellow green to light yellow oil is obtained from ripe olives (20-50% oil content). It contains two unique substances: Rare natural antioxidant hydroxytyrosol that protects the skin structure against harmful effects of free radicals, regenerates minor wounds and acne, and has a soothing effect on eczema and allergic skin reactions. Another substance is an equally rare squalene of plant origin, the so-called phytosqualene, which improves the penetration of active ingredients into the skin and protects it against drying.
• Shea butter – obtained from oily nuts of the African shea tree that grows in the western and central parts of Africa. It contains essential fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E, and stimulates the healing of chapped or otherwise damaged skin. Shea butter hydrates the skin, helps treat problematic skin, and has anti-inflammatory effects.
• Citrus Bergamia – Bergamot orange tree is an evergreen tree, originally from Asia, usually up to five meters high. It has light yellow citrus fruit the size and shape of an orange. Bergamot essential oil – a pure essential oil – has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. The smaragd green oil is most frequently produced by cold-pressing the rind of unripe fruit. It has a high vitamin C content, makes post-acne scars less visible, and protects the skin against infections and fungal diseases.
